Freedom Adventure Park Terms & Conditions

Safety is our number one priority – By visiting Freedom Adventure Park you agree to the terms below, including the risks involved and our safety rules.

Please read everything carefully before participating.

1. This Document Affects Legal Rights

I understand that this document affects my legal rights and the legal rights of the Minors, and by visiting any Freedom Adventure Park I acknowledge that I have read and understood the disclosure of risks, voluntarily accept those risks, and agree to be bound by and to bind all the Minors to all the terms and conditions of this agreement.

2. General Release and Waiver of Liability

In consideration of the services provided by Freedom Adventure Park and of the permission granted to use the park’s property, facilities, and services and to participate in the Activities, I, for myself and on behalf of my spouse, children, wards, dependents, heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin (the “Releasing Parties”), voluntarily release and forever discharge Freedom Adventure Park and all associated personnel (the “Protected Parties”) from liability for any claims connected with or arising from participation in the Activities or use of facilities, including those alleging negligence.
 
I understand this release prevents me or the Releasing Parties from bringing any lawsuit or making any claim for injury, damages or death related to the Activities.

3. Acknowledgement of Risks

Participation involves known and unknown risks, including injury, paralysis, death, or property damage.
 
Risks include but are not limited to:
  • Slipping, falling, or collisions
  • Equipment failure
  • Improper supervision or instruction
  • Actions of other participants
  • First aid or emergency treatment failures
 
Possible injuries include bruises, sprains, broken bones, brain injuries, paralysis, heart attack, or death. I understand that not all risks can be listed and agree to follow the safety policy provided online and in-park.

4. Assumption of Risks

After reviewing and understanding this agreement, I voluntarily accept all known and unknown risks of participation. I understand I am giving up rights to sue for injury or death resulting from these risks. I understand I may refuse to sign and therefore not participate.

5. Indemnification Agreement

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Protected Parties against all claims related to my or the Minors’ participation, including legal fees, whether caused by negligence or not.

6. Release of Rights to Audio, Video and Photographic Images

I give Freedom Adventure Park the right to record or photograph me or the Minors and use such material for monitoring, safety, and promotional purposes.

7. Certifications

I certify and warrant that:
  • I have no knowledge of any health issues that would make participation dangerous.
  • I and the Minors are physically fit for the Activities.
  • We will not participate under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • We will follow all park safety rules and report unsafe behaviour.
  • Breaking safety rules may lead to ejection without refund.
  • I will inform staff of any behavioural or medical concerns before participating.
  • I will stop participation if I or the Minors experience discomfort.
  • Staff may stop participation if safety is at risk.
  • I authorise staff to provide emergency first aid or CPR.
  • I authorise emergency transport and accept responsibility for any costs incurred.
  • I understand medical clearance is recommended before participating.
  • I have adequate insurance or will bear all related costs.

8. Term of Agreement

This agreement remains in effect for every visit to Freedom Adventure Park. The park may request a new agreement at any time, especially when Minors turn 18.

9. Attorney’s Fees

I agree to cover any legal costs incurred by Freedom Adventure Park in enforcing this agreement, including pre- and post-judgment interest.

10. Governing Law, Venue, and Dispute Resolution

10.1 Governing Law: This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
10.2 Mediation and Arbitration: Any dispute must first be submitted to mediation. If unresolved within 14 days, it may be referred to arbitration in Cape Town, South Africa.
10.3 Appointment of Arbitrator: The arbitrator will be chosen by agreement or by the Chairman of the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (AFSA).
10.4 Arbitration Rules: The arbitration will be held in Cape Town under AFSA’s Commercial Arbitration Rules and the Arbitration Act, 1965.
10.5 Interim Relief: Urgent matters may be taken to court pending arbitration. The High Court of South Africa, Western Cape Local Division, Cape Town shall have jurisdiction.

11. Entire Agreement

This agreement supersedes all prior agreements. No oral representations or previous documents will apply.

12. Severability

If any part of this agreement is found to be invalid, the remainder remains enforceable.

13. Effect of Agreement

I understand that this document affects my legal rights and the legal rights of the Minors, and by visiting any Freedom Adventure Park I acknowledge that I have read and understood the disclosure of risks, voluntarily accept those risks, and agree to be bound by and to bind all the Minors to all the terms and conditions of this agreement.

Parent/Guardian Consent

I certify that I am the parent/legal guardian of the Minors listed and have authority to sign on their behalf. I may be asked to show ID to confirm this.

Freedom Safety Pledge: Jump Safe

At Freedom Adventure Park, your safety is our top priority. Our general safety rules and guidelines are posted throughout the park. By participating, you acknowledge and accept these rules.
While activities like trampolining and adventure challenges are fun, they carry inherent risks — even when done properly. That’s why our park was designed in collaboration with safety experts to meet or exceed international best practices.

Trampoline Safety

To help minimise injury risks:
  • Trampoline zones are surrounded by rebounding walls where applicable. 
  • Frames are protected with tested high-grade foam padding.
  • We’ve removed hazards commonly found in home trampolines.

Adventure-Challenge Features

Adventure zones such as the Freedom Ninja Run and Via-Ferrata Ropes Course are professionally designed with strategic safety padding to reduce potential impact-related risks.

Padding Standards

All trampoline structures and springs are safeguarded with:
  • 2+ inches of high-grade foam 
  • Polypropylene sheeting
  • Durable vinyl padding
  • These measures meet or exceed international safety requirements.

Staff Training & Supervision

All activity areas are monitored by trained team members. Our staff complete:
  • Internal safety training modules 
  • External CPR & First Aid certification

They also enforce our core safety rules:

  • One person per trampoline
  • Jump, climb, and explore within your skill level
  • Do not jump or land on padding or platforms

  • Toddlers and children under 125 cm may be restricted from certain areas to ensure their safety. 

International Standards

Freedom Adventure Park complies with:
ISO – European Standard

Grip Socks & Shoes

All jumpers are required to wear grip socks to ensure:
  • Better traction
  • Enhanced safety
  • Improved hygiene
Any brand of grip socks is acceptable.

Dedicated Toddler Area

Toddler Guidelines – Junior jumpers must be able to walk unassisted and must be accompanied by a legal guardian at all times. 
A toddler is classified as a child aged 5 years and under.
A dedicated toddler zone is available at select locations.Please visit the specific park page for more details on toddler access and facilities.
